Recorded live in a mere five days it&#8217;s as close as home listeners can get to witnessing the raw, tightening tension of their concerts.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZsLUYzKGlZA?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile <strong>Converge<\/strong>\u00a0are simply one of the most engaging and remarkable heavy bands of our times. Blending possibly most, if not all, of the &#8220;cores&#8221; into a whirlwind of noise violence, these scene veterans invented metalcore a decade ago and dumped it in a ditch with a note saying, &#8220;please abuse repeatedly&#8221;. Theirs is a sonic attack that guarantees bloodshed.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cGHKsClB7Nk?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>So forget the upcoming yuletide apocalypse as Kreuzberg is already hosting the after-party! his base since 2006. Buried at the bottom of The Local&#8217;s critique,\u00a0<a title=\"Struggling with Berlin's artsy hype\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thelocal.de\/opinion\/20121130-46483.html\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.thelocal.de']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Struggling with Berlin&#8217;s artsy hype&#8221;<\/a>,\u00a0was a link to\u00a0<a title=\"IAMX\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iamx.eu\/\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.iamx.eu']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>IAMX<\/strong><\/a>, the alias under which Corner has just released a video, &#8220;The Unified Field&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sr7HDfUNT9I\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I hadn&#8217;t heard anything from the Sneaker Pimps co-founder since their largely-overlooked second album\u00a0<em>Splinter<\/em>, for which Corner took over vocals and steered the trip-hop group into darker, more emo territory. That was back in 1999, which feels like a long time ago, but the singer, multi instrumentalist and video artist is still ticking all my boxes, from his motto\u00a0&#8221;electronic sex and emotional strength&#8221; to his choice of collaborators and remixers: to name a few, Combichrist, Terence Fixmer and Imogen Heap.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G-jMWzfj9gM\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>IAMX&#8217;s brand of electro-pop resembles a dark, twisted version of Hurts, the kind of sleek beat music that Matt Bellamy clearly wishes Muse was making. Given the industry support it deserves, the album from which &#8220;The Unified Field&#8221; is taken wouldn&#8217;t be in the crowdfunding stage, it would already be finished and finding its way into you mum&#8217;s Christmas stocking. But we sympathise with Corner&#8217;s <a title=\"IAMX on Cat on the Wall\" href=\"http:\/\/catonthewall.net\/?p=44\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/catonthewall.net']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sentiment<\/a> that &#8220;Berlin has given me the spirit to care less about the music industry and take an independent route&#8221; &#8211; his creativity is clearly thriving as a result.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VyEaHN7QKik\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Go to\u00a0<a title=\"IAMX on Pledgemusic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pledgemusic.com\/projects\/iamx\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.pledgemusic.com']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pledgemusic<\/a>\u00a0and help make the new IAMX album and DVD a reality.<\/p>\n<p>   <span class=\"like\" style=\"height: 40px;
