May Day

May Day in Berlin is frikkin awesome! Sure, there’s potential for radical violence, and the increased police presence can make Kreuzberg feel like a DMZ… but it’s still possible to politely party down with people who are standing up for what they believe in, or just making the most of a sunny day off in the best city in the world. This year, we avoided the crush around Oranienstraße, and opted for the at-times-still-a-bit-crushy surroundings of Görlitzer Park. We met some friends from London (the only people in these photos/Berlin not wearing black), chilled in Görli and I snapped some photos on my analogue camera. This was the first time I’d used a roll of Kodak Portra 800 and I’m loving how vibrant these prints came out!
