DYLAN III is either insane or a visionary. Just check out the post-cyberpunk narrative about the “all-out computational arms race” that runs through “Quantum”, read with Gary Numan blankness over an oddly pastoral synth jam. Or the epic political rant that breaks down the lesson on “Iran”, like a 21st Century n-n-n-n-nineteen. “In this atomic game, reputation is at stake. But we face destruction, so things will never be the same.” Uneasy listening for the Wikileaks generation.
